Hi, I’m Franz, a hobby photographer from Rosenheim in Bavaria.

Photography has been part of my life ever since a photography course back in school, but it wasn’t until 2018 that I really got hooked. Before a vacation, I borrowed a camera because I didn’t own one myself - and somewhere between pressing the shutter for the first time and discovering what depth of field could do, I realized how much I enjoyed creating photographs instead of just taking snapshots.

Portrait photography quickly became my favorite way to express that passion. I’m drawn to genuine moments, natural smiles, and the little expressions that often last only a fraction of a second. Rather than creating perfectly staged images, I want my photographs to feel authentic and preserve a glimpse of how that moment felt.

Golden hour is my favorite time to shoot. I love the warm light, the vibrant colors, and the way nature creates its own beautiful lighting without the need for flashes or studio equipment. My editing follows the same philosophy: I prefer getting the image right in camera and using post-processing to enhance what was already there - not to transform it into something it wasn’t.

Most of my portrait sessions have been with friends and acquaintances, but I’m always happy to meet new people. If you’re interested in a TFP shoot - whether around Rosenheim or somewhere else while traveling - I’d love to hear from you.

When I’m not behind the camera, I work as a Software Engineer. Photography is the creative counterpart to my technical day job. Outside of both, you’ll probably find me mountain biking, watching or photographing trains, exploring new places on a stand-up paddleboard, or simply spending time with friends.
